Section 3A

Core Spiritual Elements

Personal growth, unlike spiritual growth, is a topic that is more tangible and is looked at pretty much the same way by people who hold various belief systems. However, there are literally hundreds of different spiritual belief systems, which can vary quite dramatically from each other. At the same time, there are fundamental aspects of spiritual growth or development that most share. We will be focusing on some of these in this section, notably those that relate to us and our growth and development.

Another part of this section includes the examination of the very notion of spiritual growth and spiritual paths themselves. One may choose to become more spiritual, and if this is a choice you have made, know that spiritual development does not follow a single prescribed path. At the same time, besides the dedication that is required, there are definite skills or awareness’s one must develop regardless of the spiritual or religious belief system follows. If you already have developed some deeper spiritual awareness, the material here will help you enhance it.

In the previous sections, we have developed an understanding of the nature of what we are and, to a lesser extent, that of the Cosmos in which we exist. This section builds on the first two so as to provide a foundation of 'basic skills' that will aid any interested in growth regardless of the belief system(s) the hold to. They will help you to build a new way or expand on your current way of relating to the world around you and even more importantly to yourself. When used they help one to increase their sense of purpose, and spiritual or psychic awareness.

NOTE:

Below is a list of the essays in this section that should be read in the listing order with a link to them. If there is an exercise to go with the essay it will be listed indented under the essay. You cannot access the exercises listed on this page directly from here. The links to them are found in the essay they're associated with.

Red bolded text indicates that an essay or exercise is member content.
